Remember when I used to post here?

We Are The Champions!

// April 21st, 2007 // No Comments » // General Nonsense, Other Sports

That’s right, Philly finally has a major league championship!

Sure, it’s only the MISL (Major Indoor Soccer League), but it’s still a championship!!!!

Yeah. I am that desperate.

I hate Philly

I thought that the pain coming out of Philly would end now that the Flyers season is finally over.

I spoke too soon. The Phillies themselves are off to one hell of a start. 3 wins, 10 losses, and they lead the whole friggin league in errors per game.

What next? I am out of teams to cheer for and I’m tired of spackling the fist holes in my walls. I need a new hobby already; being a sports fan just isn’t working for me.

Comics

I added another entry in the Links list that lists the current comic books that I am reading. Sure I am a bit old for comics, but who cares.

mutt trash folder

// April 15th, 2007 // 5 Comments » // General Nonsense, Linux

I get a lot of email. Read again, A LOT of email. I am subscribed to quite a few mailing lists for a bunch of open source projects and Linux distros. For the most part, I read and delete mail rather quickly. Sometimes too quickly. A few times after reading something in my non-mailing list mailboxes, I wish I wouldn’t have deleted so quickly. Thank goodness mutt is has so many configuration options.

folder-hook . 'macro index d '
folder-hook =INBOX$ 'macro index d "=INBOX.Trash"'
folder-hook =INBOX.Daubenspeck$ 'macro index d "=INBOX.Trash"'

That is all it takes. The first line is the default catch all. In my example, it tells d to act normally and delete files without the trash. The second and third line does the work for the two mailboxes that I need a trash folder for.

For the record

// April 9th, 2007 // No Comments » // NHL, The Flyers

It was amazing, but the Flyers actually won the last game of the season. They beat the NHL leading Buffalo Sabres 4-3. It was actually a really great game to watch.

They finished the season with 22 wins, 48 losses, and 12 OT losses for 56 points. 56 POINTS. That is the lowest point total in their 40 year history. That sounds bad at first, but lets not forget the old days when the league only played 72 games a year versus the current 82.

This season really does redefine the word Suck.
